Jubilee Asset Management Limited (JAML) has officially opened its fourth Financial Advisory Centre in Kenya, expanding its presence to Meru. The Centre is part of Jubilee’s commitment to bringing professional investment advisory and wealth management services closer to individuals, businesses and institutions across the Mt. Kenya and Upper Eastern regions.
Located at Royal Business Park along Tom Mboya Street, the new centre strengthens Jubilee Asset Management’s growing network of Financial Advisory Centres, complementing its existing locations in Nairobi and Mombasa.
This Financial Advisory Centre will offer free financial advisory services and personalised investment support, enabling customers to explore investment opportunities and make informed financial decisions aligned with their personal and business financial goals.
Meru’s selection as the latest location is informed by its position as a key commercial hub serving the wider Mt. Kenya and Upper Eastern regions. The region with a sizeable population of over 1.5 million people, a county GDP of approximately KES 140 billion is supported by a diversified economy anchored by agriculture, trade, education, healthcare, and transport sectors. Its connections to neighbouring towns such as Maua, Timau and Isiolo further position Meru as a strategic gateway for reaching individuals, entrepreneurs and institutions seeking professional investment and wealth management services.
Jubilee Asset Management Expansion To Improve Access To Investment Services
Speaking during the launch, Jubilee Asset Management Acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Mr. Cliff Bakashaba said the expansion reflects the growing need for accessible investment services beyond Kenya’s major cities.
“As regional economies grow, access to professional financial guidance becomes increasingly important. Our presence in Meru is about bringing investment advisory services closer to individuals and businesses, helping them make informed decisions about saving, investing and building long-term financial security,” said Bakashaba.
Mr. Kiogora Mbui, Chief Executive Officer of the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KNCCI) – Meru Chapter, welcomed the expansion, noting its importance for regional enterprise growth and financial inclusion.
“When leading financial institutions expand beyond major urban centres, they bring trusted advice, investment solutions and long-term capital closer to the businesses and communities driving regional growth. A stronger physical presence in towns such as Meru can deepen financial inclusion, build confidence and help local enterprises turn opportunity into sustainable growth,” said Mbui.
The opening comes as Jubilee Asset Management continues to strengthen its position in Kenya’s investment management sector. Since its inception in December 2022, the company has grown its Assets Under Management to in excess of KES 276 billion, comprising over KES 35 billion in retail investment funds and more than KES 241 billion in institutional funds.
The Meru centre will also complement the company’s digital investment services available through its JAMHub self-service portal, which allows customers to open and manage investment accounts remotely.
Kenya’s financial system has grown tremendously over the past 20 years. This has been helped by progressive policies that have strengthened the financial industry and made private sector investments more attractive. As the country moves towards its Vision 2030 industrialisation goals, ensuring people have access to financial advisory and investment services will help them develop sustainably and meaningfully contribute to the country’s economic development goals.
